Word Smith And Die-Hard American Patriot

I graduated from the worst journalism school in America. They closed the journalism/advertising department right after I received my coveted and well-earned diploma in 1986. That leather-bound and foil-stamped certificate give me the wings to go on and create the largest high quality award-winning magazines in Colorado, and west of the Mississippi. My dedication to the written word garnered me the privilege of interviewing General H. Norman Schwarzkopf, Vice President Quayle, singer Joe Cocker, the Shark and many more internationally acclaimed people. I am passionate about getting to the essence of people’s personalities and the stories that have made them who they are. I believe all of the above granted me interview time, because they knew I’d do them right.

Award-winning Publisher

Since graduating with a journalism/advertising Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wyoming in 1986, I have been working in the news and journalism business in Colorado. I started working for Pocket Guide Publications as an editor, graphic designer and delivery girl. In the dead of winter delivering Durango Pocket Guides, I nearly went off the cliff to make sure the magazines were received on time. The publisher won’t pay me for those efforts, so I started Bush and Associates, which became one of the largest magazine publishers in the West. Under the titles Telluride Style and Montrose Style I won four Maggie Awards for excellence in journalism and graphic design. I also won the RFP for Denver International Airport’s publication and many other towns official visitors’ guides.
